SHY House

Over 500 youth age out of the foster care system in Michigan every year… 450 of them end up homeless.
The SHY Project is a faith based transitional living program for current and former foster youth providing character building, life skills training, resources, education and employment support through nurturing relationships and community connections.

The goal of the program is to help residents achieve self-sufficiency, financial independence and long-term housing stability. Each home will provide transitional living support for up to 6 young adults, ages 18-21, for one year (second year available upon acceptance of application), with an on-site Resident Advisor.
