Residents of Ichthus Estate/Downey House agree to the following conditions.
- Meet periodically to discuss any house concerns or changes (mandatory attendance)
- Attend a home church weekly and are encouraged to attend other church-related events/services each week
- Attend Ichthus or Ichthus supported events to the best of their ability
- Spend regular time in the word and prayer
- Committed to tithe to their home church
- Learn proper etiquette and share in serving guests of the Estate (John 13:12-17)
- Women must leave the house and grounds promptly at 12:30 am. (Exceptions must be approved by RA and presented to each tenant at least 24 hours before requested event.)
- Women are not allowed on the second or third floor. If there is a group that would like to tour the house, or a special event that requests use of the upper floors, usage must be approved by RA. Women will never be allowed in bedrooms alone with the opposite sex.
- All lights must be on and doors open if in one of the main rooms alone with a member of the opposite sex
- Avoidance of inappropriate movies. R-rated movies (if deemed appropriate by RA) may be watched in private settings. R-rated, or other inappropriate movies are NOT allowed in any group settings or parties.
- Seek to repair broken relationships (parents, family, friends, church)
- Must download internet content monitoring software (i.e. XXX watch) in order to have access code to use Internet service
- The use of illegal drugs or other illegal substances are not allowed and will result in termination of this agreement
The following will be addressed immediately and may result in termination of this agreement in which residents will be asked to find new living arrangements within 48 hours.
- Pre-marital sex
- Substance abuse
- Smoking
- Self-mutilation
- Pornography
- Inappropriate music (explicit lyrics, drug use, sexual content)
- Inappropriate physical contact, cuddling or PDA
- Refusal to act in a Christ-like manner
